Scam on Superbonus in Palermo: Engineer arrested on birthday for failed renovation.
The financiers have notified entrepreneur Pietro Cutrona of the house arrest order, signed by judge Rosario Gioia, on his 53rd birthday. The investigation that led to the arrest and seizure of 2 million and 700 thousand euros stemmed from a report by a man who was supposed to carry out renovation works using the 110% Superbonus in Carini. The works and procedures were carried out by Cutrona’s company, Ctr Building & Workshop. The financiers started from these works to reconstruct the alleged scams against the clients. In addition to the property in Carini, condominiums in Palermo, on Via Brancaccio, Via Giuseppe Arcoleo, and Largo Cefalù have also come under the scrutiny of the Carini financial police. A property on Via Ammiraglio Rizzo, one in Catalafimi Segesta (Trapani), in Misilmeri in Contrada Tramontana, and in Terrasini on Via Dei Greci are also included. In addition to house arrest and seizure, the judge has also imposed a 12-month ban on entrepreneur activities.
