Drug bust in Letojanni: Cocaine and 10 thousand euros vacuum-sealed. Arrest made in Messina province.

Drug in the car and at home and over 10,000 euros vacuum-packed. A 33-year-old man from Catania was arrested by the carabinieri of the Taormina Company for possession with intent to distribute drugs. During a drug operation in the Municipality of Letojanni, the mobile carabinieri checked the individual who, with suspicious behavior, stopped inside a car, was in an area usually frequented by drug users.
On the vehicle, the carabinieri found and seized two doses of cocaine ready for distribution weighing approximately 18 grams in total, inside the glove compartment, as well as the sum of 10,000 euros in various denomination banknotes, vacuum-packed. Shortly after, the man’s house was also searched, where the carabinieri found and seized nearly 100 grams of pure cocaine, still in solid form, over 130 grams of marijuana, about 25 grams of hashish, and powder likely used for cutting. The 33-year-old was taken to the Messina Gazzi prison.
