The Sicily Young Chef Competition 2024 was an exciting challenge among young chefs from all over the island that took place in San Vito Lo Capo as part of the Cous Cous Fest. The prize was created by the food and wine magazine All Food Sicily, in collaboration with Electrolux Professional, a leading company in the world for catering equipment, and the authorized partner Sagrim, and awarded the most talented Sicilian chef under 36 of 2024, recognized by a jury composed of journalists, chefs, restaurateurs, and experts in the field.

The challenge among young chefs started on Monday, September 23 with chefs Marco Carella from “Osteria dei Vespri” in Palermo, Benedetto Di Lorenzo from Palermo, Pietro Taormina from “Seaclub” in Terrasini, Mattia Pecoraro from “Locanda del Gusto” in Palermo. On Tuesday, September 24, the second round took place with the challenges of chefs Luca Fichera from “Zash Boutique Hotel” in Riposto, Francesco Di Trapani from “Bromu” in Trapani, and Giovanni Riina from “Bagliotto” in Borgo Parrini, Partinico.
