Caterina Chinnici joins the European Parliament for Forza Italia, replacing Edy Tamajo. Despite receiving 121,000 preferences in the last European elections, the regional councillor for productive activities gives up her seat and cedes it to the first non-elected candidate, former Pd candidate for the presidency of the region, Caterina Chinnici. This was announced by the secretary of FI, Antonio Tajani, in a press conference with the Sicilian governor, Renato Schifani.
