Mari Boya wins the F3 Sprint Race in Barcelona. The Spaniard celebrates with Campos on home turf, finishing ahead of Alex Dunne (MP Motorsport) and teammate Oliver Goethe. No points for the overall leader Gabriele Minì, who remains at the top of the standings ahead of Leonardo Fornaroli.

The Formula 3 sprint race started with an accident when two Trident drivers collided. This led to the entry of the safety car, which remained on track until the eighth lap. Boya, Dunne, and Goethe were on the podium with ten laps to go, and the top three remained unchanged until the end of the sprint race.

Gabriele Minì seemed destined to finish the race without scoring points, putting his lead in the standings at risk. On the 18th lap, chaos ensued as Minì’s wheel suspension broke after contact with Montoya, causing him to collide with Sebastian Montoya at the next corner. Both drivers ended up in the gravel and had to retire from the race. Another safety car was deployed late in the race.

With three laps remaining, the cars were cleared from the track and it remained to be seen if the race would be restarted, which did not happen. Boya won his home race under the safety car. Minì still leads the standings, four points ahead of Luke Browning.
