An excavator in flames in the district of Pizzillo, in Palma di Montechiaro. The discovery was allegedly made by the owner, a fifty-five year old man. No one at night saw the tall flames that completely destroyed the excavator parked on a plot of land.

The fire went out on its own. The owner reported the incident to the carabinieri. The military went to the district of Pizzillo and carried out all the necessary investigations. The owner of the excavator was also questioned.

An investigation has been opened, with the investigators considering the possible presence of surveillance cameras in the area, whose footage could be crucial for the continuation of the investigations.

The excavator was completely destroyed, the damage is substantial and reportedly not covered by insurance.
