58-year-old loses life after ending up in a ditch on the road to Augusta

He was returning home from work when his car went off the road and ended up in a ravine, leaving him no way out. The tragedy occurred on the 114 Augusta-Melilli state road: the black Audi driven by Adriano Corvaglia, 58 years old, plummeted for several meters and the impact was extremely violent. His son was also in the vehicle and was injured, while the man died upon arrival at the hospital.

Originally from Avola, he had been living in Syracuse with his family for several years. He worked in an industrial plant in the area, from which he was returning after a long day. Many people are remembering him as a man always ready to help others and with a smile on his face. Dozens of messages for Corvaglia are being shared on social media: “Adriano, my childhood friend and colleague – writes Getano – it is not easy to find the right words to express what each of us feels at this moment: the one thing for sure is that I will miss you, we will miss everything about you, your voice when you called me “frate Tano”, your jokes, and above all at work we were a fixed couple, me, you, and Pippo Zanti. You will always be present within me. Condolences to the family.”

Words of condolence also come from Carlo: “Hello dear friend – it reads – you were one of the best colleagues I have had. I hope we will meet again in a new life and embrace each other as always. Rest in peace Adriano.” And further: “I still can’t believe it – Nuccio adds – you leave to go to work, but you don’t come back home. A real tragedy, I am infinitely sorry.” “Dear Adriano – Giovanni writes – your human qualities were rare. A special person, all work and family. This news breaks everyone’s heart, it is terrible. Give strength to your loved ones to move on and protect them from up there. You will always be in our hearts.”
