21-year-old from Niscemi arrested picking up hashish order online
The Carabinieri of Niscemi, in the province of Caltanissetta, arrested a twenty-one-year-old in flagrante delicto for the illegal possession of narcotics. The military had learned of a package arriving from Spain containing drugs purchased online. After monitoring the young man, they caught him receiving the package that contained five packets of hashish weighing a total of 500 grams. The military also searched the young man’s home, finding a scale and materials for packaging the drugs.
All the material found was seized, and the arrested individual was placed under house arrest at his residence by order of the judicial authority. The Gela Court, at the request of the prosecutor, validated the arrest and ordered the precautionary measure of house arrest.
