There are 14 beaches awarded in Sicily with the Blue Flag recognition for 2024, including three new entries: Scicli, Taormina, and Letojanni. The total number of coastal locations with the Blue Flag recognition has increased to 236, with ten more than last year. The Liguria region remains on top with 34 locations, followed by Puglia with 24, and Campania and Calabria tied at 20 each. Other regions such as Marche, Tuscany, Sardegna, Abruzzo, Trentino Alto Adige, Lazio, Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Basilicata, Piemonte, Lombardia, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Molise also have several locations with Blue Flags.
