Between yesterday evening and now, a total of 509 migrants have arrived in Lampedusa. Ten boats were rescued, with the last 5 being rescued after midnight. After the 142 people on a 14-meter fishing boat landed, Coast Guard patrol boats intercepted smaller boats with 34 to 45 people on board, including women and children, originating from Sudan, Benin, Niger, and other countries.
