Young man walks on foot along Palermo-Mazara highway, gets struck by a vehicle and dies.

A young person died last night after being hit on the A29 Palermo Mazara del Vallo highway, heading towards the airport. A driver alerted the police around four in the morning, claiming to have hit someone on the highway. However, there were no signs of a car or motorcycle at the scene. A search was initiated and the body was found hundreds of meters away from the impact. Emergency medical personnel confirmed the death. Investigations are currently underway. It appears that the young person was walking on the highway. The body has been taken to the morgue.
