VIP pastry chef Federico Asta from Alcamo dies in accident
Deep condolences are also felt in Alcamo for the tragic death of Federico Asta, also known as the celebrity pastry chef who has always worked in the family business in Bologna. He was now managing his own shop. Many relatives and friends live in Alcamo, where Federico would also periodically visit to spend some time on vacation in Alcamo Marina. He was 34 years old, married with two daughters. He was the son of Salvatore, also known for his passion for cars.
Salvatore, along with his son Federico, had been in Alcamo when a race was held on the provincial road to Gibellina, as a replacement for the Monte Bonifato. On Monday evening, the tragic road accident that took Federico Asta’s life occurred. The accident happened around 10 pm on Viale Salvemini in Borgo Panigale, in the Bologna area.
The celebrity pastry chef was riding his Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with a Honda SUV at the intersection with Via La Malfa. He fell to the ground, thrown off the saddle, and violently hit the asphalt. Unfortunately, resuscitation attempts proved futile.
