Van on fire on Palermo-Catania, traffic jams in Villabate

A van caught fire on the Palermo-Catania highway, causing chaos and delays near the Villabate junction. The driver managed to escape unharmed and called for help. Firefighters, Anas (the company that manages the A19 highway), and the highway police all responded to the scene. Traffic jams were reported as far as Villabate. Initial investigations suggest that a short circuit caused the fire.
