A van lost control on the Messina-Palermo highway, overturned, and ended up in a median strip. The driver was rescued and taken to the hospital with injuries. The highway police conducted investigations, and no other vehicles were involved. Traffic was heavily affected but returned to normal after the van was removed. Unfortunately, in another incident in April, a 23-year-old carabiniere from Palermo, Daniele Breganze, was killed in a collision between a car and a truck on the same highway.
