Two young people acquitted in Enna: stalking charges dropped if both parties involved

The Enna Court has acquitted two defendants accused of mutual acts of stalking. According to the judge, the crime of stalking is not applicable when it is practiced by both parties. The two defendants, a mechanic and a nurse, were both accused of stalking each other, but their lawyers argued that they were both victims and perpetrators at the same time, making it legally and logically incompatible for both of them to be stalkers and victims. The court accepted this argument and acquitted the defendants because the crime did not exist. This decision is likely to generate debate.
