The Carabinieri of Catania Fontanarossa, together with the Nas and the Labor Inspectorate unit, have discovered irregularities at a beach club in the Playa, the beach of the city. The investigation took place at a facility on Viale Kennedy, managed by a 56-year-old man from Catania, who was reported for violating safety regulations regarding labor and food safety. It was found that two workers had not undergone the necessary medical examination for their job suitability, resulting in a fine of €1,228.50 for the owner. Additionally, the Nas found serious sanitary deficiencies in the kitchen of the beach establishment, resulting in an additional fine of €1,000. In addition to paying the fines, the 56-year-old will also have to demonstrate that the identified gaps have been addressed.
