Two fans arrested in Catania after clashes at Euganeo Stadium

Two other ultras from Catania, who are also believed to be responsible for the clashes that occurred in Padova last Tuesday during the halftime of the first leg final of the Coppa Italia Lega Pro between Padova and Catania, have been arrested by the police as part of the judicial police activity of the Digos of Catania and Padova. They are a 34-year-old and a 42-year-old, both with previous police records and previously subjected to Daspo.

During a search, the objects that would have been used for disguise were found in a backpack. These two ultras are also believed to be responsible for the crimes of violence and aggravated resistance to a public official, trespassing and invasion of the field during sports events. Investigations and assessments by the Digos of Catania and Padova continue for contextualizing individual behaviors for the adoption of Daspo measures.

Meanwhile, the return final scheduled for April 2 at the Catania stadium will be played behind closed doors. The decision was made by the sports judge, who also imposed a fine of 10,000 euros on the Catania club.
