The State Police have arrested two brothers from Trapani, bringing them to prison, for aggravated assault with the use of firearms, carrying a common firearm in a public place, and aggravated threats. The investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, was initiated after a shooting in which a 21-year-old young man from Trapani was injured in the leg by a gunshot, the night between the 9th and 10th of March in front of a bar. The shooting is said to be the result of an argument that broke out a few hours earlier in front of a nightclub between the victim and the younger of the two arrested brothers. After the argument at the nightclub, the two reached the victim in front of the bar on Calatafimi street. The surveillance footage captured the scene of the shooting, showing that the gun jammed several times before firing. The victim is expected to recover in 30 days. The gun was found this morning: it is a .38 caliber revolver, a drum pistol, with a scratched serial number; one of the arrested individuals led to its discovery.
