Truck crashes and overturns on Sampieri-Cava d’Aliga coastal road, one injured

This morning there was fear along the Sampieri-Cava d’Aliga coastal road due to a road accident that occurred around 9 am. According to initial reports, a refrigerated truck overturned and landed on a embankment for reasons that are still being investigated. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, crashing through the guardrail and flipping onto its side. Other motorists passing by the scene immediately reported the incident. An ambulance from the emergency services arrived promptly to assist the injured driver. Local police and the Carabinieri also responded to the scene. Traffic was managed by officers while the Carabinieri carried out investigations. Based on preliminary findings, there should not have been any other vehicles involved. The section of road where the accident occurred was cordoned off for the driver’s rescue and the removal of the truck. The fire department’s crane was awaited to remove the damaged vehicle.
