Toni Carollo sought after, son of mob boss Gaetano killed in 1987 in Milan.

Antonino Carollo, a prominent figure in the Milan investigation known as Duomo Connection, is one of four recipients of a precautionary measure in the context of the investigation by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office for bankruptcy, tax offenses, and money laundering, which has resulted in arrests and the seizure of assets worth 4 million euros. The investigation, carried out by finance officers in Magenta on behalf of prosecutors Bruna Albertini and Simona Ferraiuolo, uncovered a fraudulent scheme orchestrated and directed by the lawyer Giovanni Bosco, with the help of professionals and collaborators such as Carollo, involving individuals as frontmen for companies operating in the real estate and construction sectors. The purpose of the mechanism was allegedly to evade taxes, circumvent creditors, and facilitate the laundering of illegally obtained money. The 22 suspects face charges including fraudulent bankruptcy, improper offsetting of tax credits totaling over 2.5 million euros, fraudulent tax evasion, money laundering, self-laundering, and fraudulent transfer of values. The investigation also involved 20 searches across various provinces in Italy, conducted by over 70 law enforcement officers and “cash dog” units. Carollo, a key figure in the Duomo Connection investigation conducted by Ilda Boccassini and Giovanni Falcone in the late 1980s, had been sentenced to 24 years in prison for his involvement in mafia activities in Milan. Son of Gaetano Carollo, a member of the Resuttana mafia family who was murdered in 1987, Carollo was considered the leader of a group of Sicilian criminals arrested in connection with the investigation.
