The judges of the first section of the Administrative Court of Palermo have ruled that access to the Scopello tuna fishery will remain private. The decision followed a complaint filed by Rosa Maria Ruggieri and Leonardo Foderà, who argued against a municipal resolution allowing public access to the beach. The court stated that the resolution lacked proper justification and a thorough investigation. It also confirmed that the disputed road leading to the fishery is privately owned and subject to preservation laws. The ruling supports the historical ownership rights of the tuna fishery, which date back to 1874.
