The shipwreck in Porticello: Bayesian captain interrogated for over two hours

According to what Ansa has learned, the interrogation of James Catfield, 51 years old, the captain of the Bayesian, the sailboat sunk half a mile from Porticello just before dawn last Monday under the blows of a violent waterspout lasted over two hours. The prosecutors of the Termini Imerese prosecutor’s office, which has opened an investigation into the shipwreck, questioned him until late yesterday evening to reconstruct the dramatic phases of the sinking and to acquire technical details useful for the investigations. The interrogations also continue today, the magistrates are hearing all the survivors inside the Domina-Zagarella hotel which offered them hospitality.

Among the issues addressed could be that of the mobile drift of the yacht found raised by the divers involved in the search. According to one theory, it could have contributed to the shipwreck.
