The charter flight that was supposed to take Palermo to Reggio Emilia for their match tomorrow has been grounded at Punta Raisi airport. Due to technical problems communicated by the national air traffic control center in Rome, the charter with the entire Palermo football team heading to Reggio Emilia for tomorrow’s match against Reggiana did not take off. Players and staff have been disembarked from the aircraft and are currently at the Palermo airport awaiting further instructions from the security authorities. These technical issues are having widespread repercussions on a large number of domestic flights.
