Special buses and trains for the Almond Blossom Festival in Agrigento, here are the schedules.

On the occasion of the Almond Blossom Festival in Agrigento, Trenitalia’s regional branch (the leading company of the passenger sector of the Fs Group) in conjunction with the Sicilian Region, the service commissioner, will provide additional connections between Agrigento Central and Aragona Caldare and between Palermo Central and Agrigento Central from Friday, March 15 to Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Specifically, in the afternoon of Friday, March 15, 6 special services are planned between Agrigento Central and Aragona Caldare; Saturday, March 16, there will be 24 special connections between Agrigento Central and Aragona Caldare; finally, on Sunday, March 17, in addition to the 38 additional connections between Agrigento Central and Aragona Caldare, the program will be enriched with two connections between Palermo Central and Agrigento Central (the first departing from Palermo Central at 08:17 and the second departing from Agrigento Central at 19:15).

The trains complement the existing connections: by purchasing a ticket, you can conveniently reach Agrigento by train and participate in the events scheduled for the Almond Blossom Festival.

“The regional Ministry of Infrastructure supports the major events in Sicily,” emphasizes the Minister of Infrastructure, Alessandro Aricò, “ensuring the necessary mobility requirements. A similar measure was adopted on the occasion of the Carnival in Termini Imerese, which was very successful. For three days, numerous special trips will be provided between Agrigento Central and Aragona Caldare, and on Sunday, two additional connections between Palermo Central and Agrigento Central will also be available. Through a comprehensive schedule to meet all travelers’ needs, it will be possible to avoid traffic congestion and, above all, ensure the safety of those attending the planned events.”
