Siracusa’s female scrutineer returns home and takes her life

Tragedy in Syracuse in the early afternoon of today, June 9, when a 58-year-old woman, a scrutineer at a polling station at the Lombardo Radice school, in via Archia, jumped from the balcony of her eighth floor apartment building near corso Gelone, in the central area of Syracuse. According to an initial reconstruction, being investigated by the carabinieri who have started the investigations, the woman returned home for lunch but did not return to the polling station, causing concern until a passerby discovered her and called for help. Unfortunately, there was nothing more that could be done for the woman, as her heart stopped beating shortly after impact on the road. The carabinieri have heard the initial testimonies, starting with relatives and friends.
