In the Sicilian parliament, a rule that would have saved four deputies from legal challenges was revoked, while another rule removing restrictions on waste disposal facilities was retained. However, the vote on the corrective measures was repeatedly postponed. A provision to grant micro-finance to municipalities for holiday festivities was also halted due to controversy. The proposed new allocation method for these funds has caused further debate, with concerns over the possibility of not being able to distribute the funds in time. The approval of the 2022 consolidated budget was also achieved, enabling the hiring of staff from previous years’ competitions.
