Sicilian Regional Government: Slow Maneuver, Majority Summit Needed for Major Amendment

To speed up the examination of the stability law in the Budget Committee at the Sicilian Regional Assembly, where the opposition has been obstructing this morning by requesting further details on amendments and articles of the base text, the majority is considering holding a coalition summit to find a consensus on the divergent norms and then proceed to the drafting of a maxi-amendment. The center-right is expected to meet between tonight and tomorrow. The opposition’s current stance remains one of intransigence, although there are some who are not completely opposed to possible dialogue. In the committee, despite the slow pace, the examination of the text is progressing.
