Santa Croce Camerina celebrates zia Gina’s 100th birthday

Francesca Giorgia Arestia, also known as zia Gina, celebrated her 100th birthday in Santa Croce Camerina. The mayor, Peppe Dimartino, attended the party and gifted her a cake with the symbol of the town. Zia Gina grew up in Ragusa Ibla and later moved with her family to Santa Croce Camerina. Despite living in Venezuela for some time, she always held a special place in her heart for her hometown. In 2018, she decided to return to Santa Croce Camerina.
