Sais Trasporti and Interbus merge: the Cosmo Consortium is born

The Co.S.Mo, the Sicilian Mobility Consortium, is set to become the largest and most important mobility hub in Sicily. It was created by the two major private public transport groups on the island, Sais Trasporti and Interbus. Together, they encompass seven companies and employ approximately 500 people, with about 20 million kilometers covered annually. The Cosmo aims to improve the efficiency and quality of public transportation services in Sicily, with the goal of achieving sustainable mobility. It is open to other companies in the sector and may potentially take over from the financially struggling Ast, the Sicilian transport company owned by the region.
