Robbery at Credem in Terrasini results in six heavy convictions

The judge in Palermo sentenced Francesco Cardella, Antonino Cirivilleri, Vincenzo Marino, Alessandro Santoro, and Natale Santoro to 13 years and 3 months in prison each for robbery. Carmelo Tinnirello received 7 years for the same crime. The trial, conducted in an expedited manner, stems from an investigation coordinated by the Prosecutor’s Office in Palermo, led by Maurizio de Lucia, regarding a robbery at the Credem branch in Terrasini in 2022, which led to the arrest of 5 individuals. During the robbery, the gang immobilized bank tellers and customers for 40 minutes and took away a loot worth 84,000 euros. Further investigations led the police to uncover two additional accomplices. The bandits, all from the Brancaccio neighborhood, were also convicted for other similar crimes in banking institutions in Capaci, Favara, as well as Milan, Bologna, and Pistoia.
