Residence Serra La Nave – Ragalna

The Residence is located in Serra La Nave, on the southern side of Etna at 1735 meters above sea level, between the municipalities of Ragalna and Nicolosi in the province of Catania.

The residence is only 45 km from Taormina, 35 km from Catania, 75 km. from Syracuse, and for this reason, many of our guests have chosen it as a starting point for visiting eastern Sicily.

Furthermore, the Etna cableway (Rifugio Sapienza) is only 2.5 km away, leading to the summit craters, where it is possible to admire the most beautiful and evocative sunrise in Sicily (2,920 meters).

The complex, surrounded by greenery, is adjacent to the Astrophysical Observatory of the University of Catania, where you can take guided tours and experience romantic and enchanting nights under the stars.

Just 50 meters away, the nature trails of the Etna Park branch off, among dense woods and suggestive lava flows. This is undoubtedly the realm of lovers of trekking and mountain biking, who will be able to live an experience never lived before, among millenary flows and enchanted woods. The same tracks, in winter, turn into excellent cross-country tracks to the delight of many skiers.

HOW TO REACH US
From Fontanarossa airport: follow the signs for the Tangenziale towards Messina, then exit at Gravina di Catania and continue towards Nicolosi-Etna Sud. After passing the town of Nicolosi, take the Provincial Road 92 and follow the Etna-Sud direction. Reached the 14th km, continue for 500 meters and you will find a crossroads. At this point, turn left, following the signs for Residence Serra La Nave, and after about 800 meters you will find a road, turn right and at 150 meters you will see the residence on your left.

From the center of Catania: follow the signs for Nicolosi – Etna Sud
From the A19 ring road exit towards Messina
From the A18 last exit, follow the ring road towards Palermo-Siracusa, then take the Gravina di Catania exit.
