Nine new preschools, two kindergartens, and a play area will open in Palermo as part of the national recovery and resilience plan, with a total value of about 7 million euros. The projects, proposed by the city’s education and school construction councilor Aristide Tamajo, aim to expand the educational services for children aged 0-6. Construction is set to be completed by December 31, 2025. The works include demolition and reconstruction of a building for a kindergarten, as well as the construction and renovation of several other facilities. The mayor, Roberto Lagalla, emphasized the importance of modern and energy-efficient structures to improve the city’s educational services. The councilor for education, Aristide Tamajo, expressed satisfaction with the approval of the projects, highlighting the positive impact on the city’s socio-educational environment and the employment opportunities they will create.
