Rampaging robbers target two supermarkets in Palermo in an hour

Once again, robbers were in action at the Ard discount supermarket on via Beato Angelico. Two young men with their faces covered indicated they were armed and threatened a cashier just before closing time, forcing him to hand over about two hundred euros. They fled the scene, and the police are investigating with the help of the surveillance cameras. Another attempted robbery took place at a second supermarket, but a security officer thwarted the thief’s plans at the Paghi Poco store on via Brunelleschi. This location has been targeted several times already.
