A protocol of understanding has been signed to regulate the urban transformation and regeneration interventions of disused or future disused railway areas and assets owned by the Fs group in Sicily. The agreement was signed by the president of the region, Renato Schifani, and Umberto Lebruto, CEO of Fs Sistemi urbani, the parent company of the Fs Italiane urban hub. The agreement aims to streamline the implementation of urban interventions near railway areas and optimize the process for necessary urban planning procedures. It also focuses on creating urban parks, cycle paths, and services for the well-being of citizens. The protocol will involve collaboration with the involved municipalities and aims to identify opportunities for transformation and define the implementation of interventions. Additionally, a technical committee will be established to monitor the progress of the activities.
