Prisoners revolt at Malaspina prison in Caltanissetta
Today, there was a riot in the Malaspina prison in Caltanissetta. Around thirty inmates barricaded themselves in their section of the facility, apparently protesting the conditions inside the prison. Police and carabinieri patrols intervened to support the prison guards, and the protest is ongoing. The supervising magistrate is also on the scene. At the moment, there are no reported injuries.
