Pozzallo: 159 migrants arrive, including a tetraplegic teenager among them

The identification procedures for the 159 migrants rescued off the coasts of Pozzallo, Sicily have just been completed. The migrants were found on a small boat and were rescued by two coast guard boats approximately 150 nautical miles from the Sicilian shores. Among the migrants are around 50 minors, including a 13-year-old tetraplegic child. A one-and-a-half-year-old child has been transferred to the Maggiore-Baglieri hospital in Modica for examinations due to a suspected skin infection.
