Postamat kiosk in Catania shut down, fugitives caught by carabinieri

The ATM of the post office in Catania was stolen using an excavator and loaded onto a Iveco Daily van. The military blocked the van, but the two people inside fled. The money was already being counted inside the van. It is believed that there were at least three criminals involved and accomplices using stolen vehicles. A frequency disruptor was found inside the van, which likely caused a delay in the alarm. Investigations are ongoing, including reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to identify the criminals.
