Police dog sniffs drug in reception center in Pedara

A drug detection dog of the carabinieri has led to the seizure of some doses of marijuana hidden in the bathrooms of a reception center for immigrants in Pedara. The inspection was carried out by the carabinieri of the station with the support of their colleagues from the canine unit of Nicolosi and the operational intervention company of the 12th Sicily regiment, who had the cooperation of the facility’s staff.

The facility accommodates a total of 38 people – 15 adults, all men, accompanied by their 23 minor children – from Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
