Palma di Montechiaro: Pharmacist threatened with box cutter, robbed of earnings: investigations

A robbery occurred in a pharmacy in Palma di Montechiaro, in the province of Agrigento. A hooded man entered the store on Via Sottotenente Palma and threatened the pharmacist with a box cutter, demanding all the money in the cash register. A significant amount of money was taken, but the exact sum is still to be determined as the incident happened late yesterday afternoon. After the robbery, the man fled on foot, evading capture. The shaken pharmacist alerted the authorities and the carabinieri from the station of Palma di Montechiaro arrived at the scene. They searched the area for evidence and questioned witnesses. Investigators are also looking into the potential presence of security cameras in the area.
