A 25-year-old man from Palma di Montechiaro has been sentenced to 3 years and 6 months for mistreating and kidnapping a 19-year-old woman. He reportedly told her that as a woman, she should only stay at home to clean and cook. The victim, who was pregnant at the time, was allegedly abused and confined by the man due to his jealousy. The court ordered the man to pay 15,000 euros in damages to the woman.
