A 22-year-old young man from Ficarazzi, who had been in a coma after a serious accident, has woken up. He had crashed his car into a palm tree on Viale Regione Siciliana in Palermo, at the corner with Via Oreto. The accident occurred on March 16th. The young man remained in a coma for 13 days.
When he opened his eyes, he found his mother by his side. On March 16th, he had been rescued by the firefighters who had extracted him from the wreckage after some motorists had called 112.
