Palermo University: Three students accuse medicine professor of sexism
The case of a Medicine professor at the University of Palermo accused by three students of sexist behavior towards them has been referred to the University’s disciplinary board. The issue began with an anonymous letter received by the rector, Massimo Midiri, who has now confirmed the accusations with the three students. The rector has requested a report from the professor in question and has activated the disciplinary board, which will hear from all 19 students involved before hearing from the accused professor. If any criminal behavior is identified, it will be reported to the authorities. The anonymous letter also details allegations of inappropriate comments and behavior by the professor towards the students.
