Palermo sports village at shopping center square: two days for families and kids

Explain in brief the following article:

“A weekend dedicated to physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and fun for families. This was in essence the event called ‘A tutto sport!’ organized by Endas Sicilia, which took place on Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16 in the outdoor square of the Conca d’Oro shopping center in Palermo.

An outdoor sports village was set up, with activities promoted by Endas Sicilia and coordinated by Oxygen Group, a fitness reference in Palermo celebrating 20 years of activity. There were various sports disciplines available: from martial arts to rhythmic gymnastics, from basketball to skateboarding, from fencing to bocce, from foosball to arm wrestling, and even a small racetrack and athletics. Many families attended with children who were able to enjoy a free ride on a hot air balloon. ‘The event represented a significant moment in our ongoing commitment to promoting social development and inclusion through sports. An objective achieved after seeing so many athletes involved. Our project is not limited to bringing sports to conventional places, but aims to integrate these activities into the daily life of our community, making sports accessible to everyone,’ says Dario Galioto, provincial president of Endas Palermo. ‘With a 16.6% increase in visitors to Conca d’Oro on the two days dedicated to sports,’ says Devis Di Cioccio, director of the shopping center, ‘we are very happy to have been a showcase for the sports entities and associations of Palermo, also achieving a significant increase in foot traffic for our stores.”
