Palermo, Scoma: “New Amg service contract scheme inadequate and undersized”
Francesco Scoma, president of Amg Energia, a company of the Municipality of Palermo, has declared that the proposed new service contract by the local administration is inadequate and financially unsustainable. He criticized the lack of dialogue and the misleading application of Consip conventions, which do not take into account the unique status of Amg Energia as a publicly owned company. Scoma also highlighted the outdated infrastructure of the city, the understaffing of the company, and the need for a long-term service contract. He called for a one-year technical extension with adequate funding to ensure the survival and development of the company. Scoma expressed hope for a more constructive dialogue with the administration, but warned that legal action would be taken to protect the company’s value if necessary.
