Another accident in Palermo, with an elderly man hospitalized in critical condition. The man, aged 69, was struck by a car while walking his dog on Via Gino Marinuzzi. The accident occurred around 7:30 am. The victim, as reconstructed, was hit directly by a Lancia Y driven by a 63-year-old man.

According to a preliminary reconstruction provided by the municipal police accident investigation team, the man was crossing the street, possibly near the pedestrian crossing, when he was hit by the car, which threw him away from the point of impact. A trace of blood was found at the scene of the accident.

The man, urgently transported to the Policlinico di Palermo, suffered severe facial injuries, a head trauma, and several wounds to the abdomen. The elderly man is currently in the intensive care unit in critical condition.

The police officers have questioned several witnesses and requested the acquisition of footage from some cameras that could clarify the dynamics and responsibilities of the driver, with the accident investigation team then conducting the necessary investigations.
