A pregnant girl had been beaten by her partner so much that she was almost about to miscarry, but the mobsters of Corso Calatafimi in Palermo, when they heard what had happened, immediately organized a punitive expedition. The mafiosi wanted to show all the residents that, in addition to controlling the illicit affairs of the neighborhood, they could also intervene in private matters with their own justice, alternative to that of the courts.

And so the leader of the clan, Paolo Suleman, had put himself at the head of the group composed of Rosario Lo Nardo and Giuseppe Marano, to punish Giancarlo, the 37-year-old man who had dared to raise his hands against the young woman who had been taken to the hospital at risk of losing the baby.
