Palermo hospital fear: Man headbutts door, reported

The wave of violence in hospitals in Palermo is growing. A 37-year-old man broke down the door of the emergency room at the Buccheri La Ferla hospital with headbutts. The man was reported by the carabinieri for damages.

According to the account of the healthcare staff, he arrived late at night and after a few minutes of his arrival, he broke the door that connects the waiting room of the emergency room to the triage room. “We were afraid because he came in very nervous and almost suddenly started headbutting the door, managing to break it. Working in these conditions is very difficult,” says a nurse.

An alarming phenomenon. The chorus of voices from doctors and nurses tells of hospitals under siege, poorly controlled, and an increasingly tense atmosphere. The episode at Buccheri La Ferla is just the latest in a long list. This time, at least, no one was hurt.
