Palermo, former Florio palazzo for sale: Casina Grande seeks new owners

One of the eight historic homes in Palermo where the Florio family lived is looking for new owners. This is Palazzo Wirz all’Olivuzza, abandoned for years: the sale has been entrusted to a real estate agency that has published the announcement on the web. The property has a total area of 1550 square meters spread over three floors. There are two entrances, an internal courtyard, and eight bedrooms. The price? One million and 800 thousand euros. The sale could represent a real rebirth for the “Casina Grande” of the Florio family. The building is in need of total renovation, but due to its historical and architectural value, it is a prestigious structure with great potential. The real estate agency targets potential buyers, stating: “We recommend the purchase of this property to lovers of historical settings, who understand the challenge of adapting the ancient to the modern, as well as to investors who aspire to carry out exclusive real estate or hospitality projects.” The description then goes into detail about the historical and artistic value of the building. After being owned by the Florio family, the palace was bought by the Wirz family in the 1920s, and then sold to a real estate company in the 1990s. Now it is looking for a new future, new owners to make it shine again.
