Palermo: Fear on Niccolò Palmeri Street as Car Loses Control and Hits Three Parked Vehicles

He lost control of his car and crashed into three parked cars, causing panic in the middle of the night. The latest road accident in Palermo occurred in via Niccolò Palmeri, between the central station and corso dei Mille. The Audi driven by a fifty-eight-year-old man from Milan went off the road and collided with a Hyundai Atos, a Lancia Y, and a Fiat Cinquecento that were parked along the sidewalk: the damages were substantial.

The residents of the area, including the owners of the three vehicles, raised the alarm. The municipal police officers arrived on the scene and conducted a breathalyzer test on the driver, which turned out to be negative. The man also provided his version of the events, stating that he had to suddenly swerve to avoid hitting a cat. The officers then carried out the necessary investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.

In another incident in the city, a thirty-nine-year-old man riding a scooter went off the road in viale Regione Siciliana and crashed into the guardrail. The impact was fatal for Samuele Fuschi, who died on the spot. The collision occurred in the section between the Bonagia bridge and the former Oreto roundabout, where a large pothole is present on the road.
