Palermo, Father Puglisi’s dream nursery becomes a reality

The Palermo City Council has approved the project plan for the construction of a nursery school in Brancaccio, named “i Piccoli di Padre Pino Puglisi”. The estimated cost is 3.850 million euros, and it will accommodate sixty children. City councilor Pasquale Terrani praised the Father Nostro center for their work in the area and for proposing the construction of the nursery school, a desire of the blessed Father Pino Puglisi. Dario Chinnici, leader of Lavoriamo per Palermo, highlighted the attention that Mayor Roberto Lagalla, his administration, and the city council have for all neighborhoods in the city. Domenico Bonanno, leader of the Dc party, emphasized the importance of this project as a sign of the state’s presence and as a tool for growth and the creation of a different future, in memory of a martyr who continues to be an example to follow.
